Running, pushups, all that fun stuff

I went out Monday, did about 3.6 miles at a little over a 9 minute pace. The run went well, except I had some terrible experiences with snot rockets. I mean, I totally whiffed them. Disappointing, on so many levels.

Tuesday, ol' St. Patty's Day.. I wound up having to work pretty late, and it just didn't happen. No runs. There was much sadness.

However, the day wasn't a complete waste! Julianne mentioned she was starting the 100 pushups challenge. I tweeted that I should really try that again too, and she twisted my arm to join her in doing it. So, W1D1, all complete!

I'm so liking the spring weather. Apparently, we're cooling off over the next few days, dropping back down into the 30s and 40s. Sigh.

There's a chance (a strong chance, too), that I'll be absent the next few days. College basketball, a nearby watering hole, a lack of desire to be at work. It adds up to the 'perfect storm', if you will. Here's hoping the picks of your choosing do well....

In case I don't talk to you, keep on rockin', everyone!

O, man, I can't believe I'm commenting on a running blog that Marcy hasn't already made herself a Friend of! w00-h00 to me! I beat Marcy!1!

I suck at snot-rockets, too. Mine are more like snot-oxcarts or some other slow-moving form of transportation. Definitely not worthy of being compared to anything jet-propelled.

But when I hork a loogie? Man, it's first rate! Distance! Elegance! A "splat" sound that would make you weep with wide-eyed life-is-swell wonder!

Nice work on the run pace, brother!

I feel like such a quitter...I was doing well w/ the push ups but just stopped at week 5. It started taking too much time!

I don't even try fool myself into starting the 100 push up challenge. I know I won't actually do it. Good luck and keep us updated.

Haha to Denise's comment. I'm on week 5 and you know what happened to me? I kept getting stronger and stronger and then, suddenly, on week 5 I've started getting progressively weeker. Before I know it I'll be back down at week one with YOU.

Hehehe...enjoy your absence. I didn't get into college basketball until my husband informed me he's betting on it. Now I'm glued to the screen. ;)

I've managed ONE decent snot rocket. I'm otherwise a failure. I wipe instead.

Enjoy the perfect storm!
